About us

THE FULL STORY

In 2011, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed was a whirlwind of treatment decisions, hospital visits, and ultimately, a full mastectomy. After months of chemotherapy and radiation, I underwent a reconstruction in 2013 and whilst the physical healing process was underway, I began to notice another layer to recovery that is rarely spoken about the struggle to feel like myself again as a woman.

During this time, I quickly discovered how limited the market was when it came to feminine, well fitting mastectomy bras. The options available felt clinical, uninspiring, and often uncomfortable. They did little to reflect my personality, my style, or my desire to reclaim my sense of femininity after cancer.

I remember one evening in particular that crystallized this frustration. I was out wearing a strapless bra and a woman pointed out that my chest looked uneven. Without hesitation, I told them the truth “Yes, because I have had breast cancer.” That moment could have left me feeling diminished, but instead, I made a choice cancer would never define me, nor would it take away my confidence.

It was in that moment of resilience that something shifted inside me. Rather than accept what the industry offered, I began modifying my own bras to create pieces that were both supportive and stylish. Each stitch became part of my healing, a reminder that I still had control over how I showed up in the world. Over time, what began as a personal necessity grew into a passion.

I started experimenting with fabrics, designs, and adjustments that could work not just for me, but for other women navigating life after surgery. Friends and fellow survivors began asking me to help with their bras, and I saw first hand the transformation that occurred when a woman felt comfortable and beautiful again. It wasn’t just about lingerie it was about restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of identity.

This is how N3KLondon was born. My mission became clear: to provide custom bra modifications and designs that celebrate the resilience of women, acknowledge the scars of survival, and reimagine lingerie as a source of empowerment rather than limitation.

The journey has not been without challenges as running a business while carrying the weight of my own experience has been demanding at times. Yet, it has also been deeply rewarding. Every story I hear from a client reminds me why I began to ensure that no woman ever has to settle for lingerie that makes her feel less than she is.

Today, I stand proud, embracing my scars as symbols of survival, strength, and transformation. Through N3KLondon, I pay homage to all survivors, women who like me, have faced the unthinkable and chosen to rise. Together, we are redefining what it means to live boldly, beautifully, and unapologetically after breast cancer.
